Ingredients

  1. 1 cup mayonnaise
  2. 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
  3. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  4. 1 tablespoon garam masala
  5. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  6. 1 teaspoon onion powder
  7. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  8. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  9. 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  10. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  11. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  12. Salt and pepper to taste
  13. Fresh cilantro, finely chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

Combine Ingredients:

  • In a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise and Greek yogurt. Mix until smooth.

Add Lemon Juice:

  • Stir in the lemon juice. This adds a fresh, tangy flavour that balances the spices.

Spice It Up:

  • Add the garam masala, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Mix well until all spices are fully incorporated.

Season:

  • Taste your tandoori mayo and season with salt and pepper as needed. (about 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper) Adjust the spices if you prefer a stronger flavour.

Chill and Serve:

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the tandoori mayo for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld together.

Garnish:

  • Before serving, sprinkle some freshly chopped cilantro on top for an extra burst of freshness.
