Description

The combination of mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, and smoked paprika, with a hint of garlic and lemon, makes it irresistibly good. Plus, it’s easy to whip up, making it perfect for family gatherings and weeknight dinners alike.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  1. 1 cup mayonnaise
  2. 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce (I use Jack Daniel’s Sweet and Spicy)
  3. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  4. 1 clove garlic, minced
  5. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  6. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  7. 1/2 teaspoon honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  8. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Combine Ingredients:

In a medium mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, smoked paprika, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and honey if using.

Mix Well:

Whisk all the ingredients together until they are well combined and smooth. Make sure the barbecue sauce is evenly distributed throughout the mayonnaise.

Season to Taste:

Taste the aioli and add salt and pepper as needed. Adjust any other flavours to your liking—more lemon juice for tanginess, more barbecue sauce for smokiness, etc.

Chill:

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the aioli for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld together.

Serve:

Use this BBQ aioli as a delicious dip for fries, a spread for sandwiches and burgers, or a topping for grilled meats and veggies.
